Anthony J., a.k.a. Synapse X

Why "Synapse X"? I chose "Synapse" as a compliment to Neuroscience, my personal favorite, and "X" as a way of embracing the mysteries of the unexplained phenomenon.

You can choose to call me a scientist or a researcher as these are merely titles and are topics for discussions. I am not certified by the government as any type of doctor or clinical expert, thus I do not possess a license to run a clinic in psychology or medicine. I will never lead one to believe that I am, nor perceive myself as, an all knowing doctor in science. I am merely a honorary member of science and philosophy. I have college-level education and plan on continuing my education in the field of weather science and neuroscience. Hey, I live in Oklahoma, what do you expect?

In 1995 I studied metaphysics thoroughly to understand classical physics and to think beyond physics to learn the many disciplines associated with such. I also wanted to understand the differences between science and pseudoscience. I took an interest in physical science and I did fairly well in school with courses such as astronomy, earth acience, and geology. I later studied physics, chemistry, ontology, and biology. Science means "knowledge" in Latin, and knowing what you are doing is the first step to testing and realizing what you now know.

I bring with me a briefcase of skepticism, tools of debunking legends and self-delusions and exaggerations. I put together whole heartening scientific data and once again for good reason, it is the best I can offer you without coming off as a superficial 1-800-CALL-MEDIUM commercial proclaiming answers to somewhat genius subjects. You are about to meet and explore the unconventional scientific and outgoing character that is Synapse X. Hopefully your judgments of me are similar in the way we handle each and every case, critical and open-minded.

Other projects outside of APPEARR is music, as I am an avid Bass guitarist and beatboxer. I also work in the Security/Law Enforcement job field for over 5 years. I am a trained fighter, boxing, and martial arts. I am trained in small arms weaponry, M-16, Squad Automatic Weapon, and various weaponry. I enjoy running, rugby, skateboarding, and weight training. I play video games, watch J-Anime, watch PRIDE, UFC, and many anime shows like Family Guy and South Park. I like all sorts of extreme music like Opeth, Fantomas, Beneath the Massacre, Nuclear Rabbit, Necrophagist, and many other types of music. I am currently going to school in Finance (General) and Business Applications studies. Thank you for visiting our brief bios.

Dr. Brian Josephson
One of only a dozen pioneers of the paranormal. Everyone who is involved in a paranormal group or research team owes a lot to this guy. He continues to add credibility and hope to paranormal research. Dr. Brian probably has the answer to all of our questions thanks to his Mind and Matter Unification Project. Dr. Brian Josephson made a statement that quantum mechanics will reveal telepathy, he was attacked for this statement by Dr. Dutch, another pioneer of the paranormal, more or less astrophysics is his primary subject. Dr. Brian is currently a professor at Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge, England.

Dr. Feynman
While he's not as eccentric as the rest of us, he is quite a genius in quantum theory. He also loved plants and Biology.

George Norry
How does he remain neutral with deluded guests? Outstanding radio host to the paranormal and other related field of studies.

Hilly Rose
Famous for broadcasting paranormal activities before I was even born with Art Bell on Coast To Coast AM.

JB Rhine
He took the parapsychology level further than Dr. Sigmund and Dr. Carl Jung. All Parapsychology students have a father and he was JB Rhine. Where Jung lost his mind, JB Rhine helped keep it together.

Nandor Fodor
His research is considered a catalyst for further research and exploration. To this day his published works bends the perfect balance of psychology and parapsychology. The "Godfather of Parapsychology", when he took the reigns of Carrington and Arthur Conan Doyle (Founder of Sherlock Holmes) and expanded their research.

TAPS-The Atlantic Paranormal Society and Families
I believe they have the most visibly strong work ethic with actual accountability. Probably the only current hope for respect in our field of study as "warrior" investigators. Great respresentation and management of their time, talent, and efforts. UPDATE: though they are being scrutinized, I feel the TAPS group to be skeptical and open-minded to the scientific values of an investigation, claims are fraud are found to only accusations and not yet accountable in a court of law.

Pennsylvania State University Paranormal Research Society
Going to college is not just about studying general electives, basic courses, and your specialized subjects, but also studying the paranormal! You can get drunk all weekend and throw up but the Penn State crew go about their business of furthering the study of protosciences in a productive manner.

ShadowLord
Has influenced my works and the enormous database has helped me sort out projects and research plans. His site could be revamped and much needed reconstruction. Also to Shadowlands, APPEARR is a certified legit business and we are not hobbyists, please support other groups as we get out of the paranormal investigations "block".

Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP)
The council of scientific skeptics that uphold the Code of Ethics in paranormal investigations claims. Though many are threatened by what they call "vested interests", CSICOP looks out for the Paranormal community of professionals and uphold strong research ethics.

Aristotle
One of our first philosophers to dive into metaphysics and other literary works. Aristotle was considered the first well known philosopher to use what we call, "Empirical" evidence: Evidence of the senses. He also stressed on Logic. Aristotle is considered an open-minded philosopher. Presently, a great percentage of Paranormal Investigators are Aristotle in thought and philosophy.

Galileo
The master of science, considered the pre-Godfather of protoscience and paranormal/theoretical physics. He was sentenced to life for claims from his observations. He was released to serve the rest of his sentence at home. APPEARR holds an annual Galileo Remembrance Observation Week (G.R.O.W.), a varied week full of paranormal investigations with other groups and the general public. We all sign our names in the Two New Sciences (book ref. Galileo G.) and hand it over to the mayor of the town we performed the investigations.
